Ways in which water has had an important impact in my life:

I grew up sailing with my father so water has always been a big part of my life. One of my fondest memories was the evening my father showed me at night that at a specific time of year how it would glow blue when something splashed it. Water held so much magic. From the creatures that lived in it to the sandbars I could walk on and to all the things seen and unseen in it's depths.

I love the beach. The sound of the waves crashing, the smell of the water evaporating in the sun and the joy and comfort it could bring as I walked into it. I would sink down into it until all I could hear was the water rushing around me.

My third remembrance of water is getting caught in many downpours over the years! I always loved them and how clean the air smelled after one. I sometimes would run outside after a storm just to smell the raindrops still fresh in the air.

The photo of me with my dad is him teaching me how to use the new motor for the dingy.

The one in the sleeping bags shows you how comfy my sister and I were with the water.
